Hell’s Gate is popular with folks who love to hike and bike, affording them with expansive views of breathtaking landscapes, and numerous opportunities for wildlife sightings. Some of the animals to look out for are the african buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson’s gazelle and baboons. You might also catch a glimpse of the elusive klipspringer antelopes and Chandler’s mountain reedbuck.
Avid birdwatchers may sight one of more than 100 birds that call the park home. There are sometimes raptors nesting in the trees.There are several camping options available, and one can scale the cliffs after a refreshing camp breakfast. If you need a refreshing change, visit the hot springs and swim in the pool fed by the Olkaria Geothermal hotsprings.
